Information about the site
This rather anonymous little pyramid of pharaoh Unas contains the oldest known religious writing ever found. The writings, known as the Pyramid Texts, are about 4500 years old and gives a unique insight into the 'spiritual world and visdom' of the old kingdom.
Some would argue that the semitic alike use of spells here have been imported from Byblos. Well, that's the easy way to fit into the pussle were Byblos (eg. Bible) is the root of the semitic languages. However, I would rather argue that its more likely that the Egyptians spread influsenses from this region to places like Byblos. This is an era in history when the great pyramids just had been built and you could just imagine how it would have looked like in all it's glory. I can't find any reason why the great Egyptians of the time would import spirituality and visdom from outside, but I can find millions of reasons why others would export visdom, spirituality and glory from Egypt to other places of the known world.

About: 'Portal to Eternity' (GC202GR)

The cache is not activated for search in the Geocaching database as a flood of people in this rather calm and unvisited place is not wanted. The placment is on the backside of whats left of the pyramid, a few meters south of the northwest corner. Very easy to access even if you are in a tourist group. The ground (sand) is rather flat here and the cache is hidden in a crack between two rocks. Behind a protecting small rock. Easy find from ground level. Climbing is not allowed and not needed. The area is normally not crowded and mainly empty of people. Best way to approach is from the north. If there are mugglers around you could easily simulate a short break by sitting down on the stones.
The cachebox is about 5x12x3cm in white waterproof plastics. It contains a pen, notebook and a unique "backdoor" into the ancient world of visdom and spirituality.
This cache was the portal into the material world for: Princess Vilma of Eternity. May her great task be fillfilled.
Good luck Geocacher!!
